AUTHOR’S NOTE:
(DON’T ignore this please this is important)
first of all, so sorry guys for this very late update — festivals and studies kept me busy and I couldn’t give my book the time I wanted. This is not an excuse; I was genuinely swamped. Also, my brother and bhabhi came back from abroad after a year with their adorable 1.5-year-old daughter — she is so cute and your author absolutely loves kids, so I spent a lot of time playing with her. Now she has gone back home and my little sunshine is missed, but don’t worry — your sunshine author is here with this chapter. Enjoy… ☀️🙏
UNKOWNS POV:
In a dark room with only a small light bulb as the source of light, someone stood gazing at a picture on the wall with a knife in his/her hand. In the darkness, the person — wearing a black hoodie — suddenly threw that knife at the wall where the pictures were… and shouted,
“Never… no, no, no… I’ll never let you be together. You’re only mine.”
That person picked one of the pictures from the wall and, looking at it, said,
“You’re only mine. I won’t let you go anywhere. When you had no one, I loved you from that time — and now, whoever comes between us, I’ll kill them.”
Then that person laughed evilly, the laugh filling the entire room with its wickedness…
VIHAAN’S POV:
In the office:
OMG… I can’t believe I kissed her — yes, I kissed her. Thinking about our first kiss, I started jumping. I have never felt like this in my whole life. I never felt attracted to any girl — and now I kissed Chahat. I can’t express how I’m feeling: those beautiful eyes, her reddened cheeks, and her soft, petal-like lips I could die for. I think I like Chahat — yes, I like Chahat.
Oh damn… just thinking about her makes me happy; a smile won’t leave my face. But wait — I remember I kissed her against her will. Fuck — will she hate me now? Of course, I did it without asking her; my subconscious mocked me. She also slapped me. She’s going to hate me.
Shit — I had just realized my feelings and now she hates me. What should I do? Should I call her? No, she won’t pick up. If I message “sorry” it will look like I’m doing her a favor.
What should I do, what should I do? I was pacing in my cabin in a panic. I needed to think of a solution. Just then my PA knocked on the door. I quickly sat on the chair and said,
“Come in.”
“Actually sir, Mr. Arun came here to meet you,” Samarth said.
“Who?” I asked, confused, because I didn’t remember any Arun.
“Sir, he—” Samarth was trying to say something but someone barged in. I looked up and saw a man who immediately grabbed my collar.
“How dare you, huh?” that man said.
First, I freed his hand from my collar and then I asked him, “Who are you, and how did you come into my cabin without permission?”
“You’re asking me this after what you did to my friend? I won’t leave you!” the man shouted in anger. My jaw clenched. Who the hell is he and what is he saying? I don’t know him or his friend. “What rubbish are you talking about? I don’t know you — how would I know your friend?” I asked in a cold, angry tone.
“After forcing yourself on my friend, now you’re pretending to be a saint? I’ll not leave you, bastard!” he shouted. That was enough — this was completely out of line. I was about to punch him when a voice stopped me. My punch froze in mid-air — and then I saw Chahat. What was she doing here? She had come to our side and she pushed me.
“How dare you?” she asked me…
I didn’t answer because I was still processing everything. Then she turned toward that man, held his arm, and said, “Arun, please let’s go.”
“Seriously Chahat? He did this bad with you and you’re still defending him?” Arun said to Chahat.
“No Arun, I’m not defending him. I just don’t want you to fight with him. You’re so important to me, and please come with me. I don’t want to see anyone right now.”
Her words felt like daggers to my heart. I think I had really hurt her this time.
Why, why — why do I always do something I shouldn’t? I hurt her again.
Before I could stop her, she left with her friend. I stood there like a statue. Shit, shit, shit — I seriously fucked up this time….
CHAHAT’S POV:
I had just reached near my home when I got a call from Diti that Arun had gone to Rathore.Inc. I immediately understood what he intended to do, and I hurried there. After thirty minutes I reached the company. I knew where the CEO’s office was — being there brought back memories of the last incident. Without thinking, I rushed in. What I found was unexpected: Vihaan was about to punch Arun. I stopped him. I didn’t want them to fight. I couldn’t stand to see my close ones fight, so I intervened. When I looked at Vihaan, he was glaring at Arun — and Arun at him. I stopped them both and tried to take Arun away. I managed to calm him and brought him outside without looking back.
We came downstairs and saw Diti running toward us, worried. “Are you both okay? Is anyone hurt?” she asked.
“No Diti, calm down. We’re fine. Let’s go from here,” I said to her.
As we headed to the exit, Arun finally spoke. He had been silent until then. “Why did you stop him? Even after everything that’s happened, why do you keep hurting yourself again and again?”
“No Arun, I didn’t do it for myself—” I tried to explain but he didn’t let me finish.
“What do you mean you didn’t? I saw you there — why did you stop me? I would have taught him such a lesson he would never forget in his life.”
“And what do you think — I don’t know that? I know everything, Arun, and I also know what Vihaan Singh Rathore is capable of. Messing with him means inviting thousands of problems for yourself. And I don’t want anything to happen to you, my friend,” I explained to him — and I don’t know when the tears began to flow from my eyes. Diti and Arun hugged me to console me.
“Enough now, you’ve cried a lot. No more. As long as we’re with you, nothing will happen to you,” Diti said to lighten the mood.
“Okay guys, let’s go — it’s getting dark now. You know, if we don’t reach home soon, Arun will turn into a ghost and I’ll become a witch,” Diti said to make us laugh, and we both chuckled.
After five minutes, Diti and Arun left in Arun’s car. I took my scooty, but unfortunately it didn’t start — and I was stranded in the middle of the road. Just then I saw a light approaching from the front. In a blink of an eye, someone pushed me… and what I heard was:
No… no… no… not again — this can’t be happening again. And the only sound that came was —
“CHERRYYYY…….”
